The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health is proud to announce the release of our latest project: a map of all the U.S. college and university organizations tackling issues of sexuality and gender. Consisting of a state-by-state database of education, advocacy, and empowerment organizations in colleges and universities across the country, The Map serves as the first comprehensive listing of the vast array of student and college involvement in the fields of sex-positivity and education.
Megan Andelloux, Director and Founder of The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health, states, “We’re excited to release this resource to be used by students across the country. The human sexuality industry can be daunting, and The Map can help connect like-minded individuals who want to bring sexual health, education advocacy and empowerment to their schools. We hope that The Map will will provide support to students who seek to foster the United States’ sex-positive community.”
In addition to listing these organizations and the names and locations of their affiliated colleges or universities, The Map includes contact information for the group coordinators. This database currently contains over 1,000 organizations, and will feature regular updates so it stays current. As The Map is an ever-evolving work-in-progress, we are always looking for more organizations to add to our database, so if you would like your campus’ organization to be included, contact us at info@thecsph.org.
The Map will be released to college students (for free and with official proof of student status) on February 3, 2012. The general public can access The Map by becoming a member of The CSPH and filling out an application. To find out more about The Map and/or CSPH Membership, contact info@thecsph.org.
